          I graduated Seton Hall University School of Law magna cum laude and Lafayette College cum laude and I am attorney in New Jersey admitted in 1989 when our country was mopping up from the last banking/real estate recession known as the savings and loan financial crisis that began in the late 1980's. Legal fees are reviewed and set by the United States Bankruptcy Court.

 The typical cost is as follows:

Chapter 7 bankruptcy: Classes: $25-200 Legal Fee:$2000 Court cost: $299

Chapter 13 bankruptcy: Classes: $25-200 Legal Fee: $3500 Court cost $274. A Chapter 13 is 5 year repayment plan and I will take a portion of the legal fee over the 5 years if circumstances require it.

Other possible costs can be appraisal, title and judgement search, if needed.
